Harper’s new favorite word is “goggles” which sounds more like gwaggle when she says it. This is good news since Harper has recently shown little interest in wearing goggles during swim class.
The reason for the change of heart is a character in the book Benny and Penny and the Big No-No, a hedgehog named Melina who happens to be wearing, you guessed it, goggles. Green ones actually, just like Harper Sue’s own pair.
See the resemblance?
It rained all day Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. No playground adventure. No trips to the market. No walks around the park. No, we decided to make cookies!
Harper Sue has been quite the little chef this past week. She and Emma made a green curry veggie dish (Harper sauteed onions while standing on a chair next to the stove), and we made cookies. Oatmeal raisin to be precise.
We made our second all-in-a-day trek down to see Grandma Sue in Orange County last week. I felt much more relaxed on this trip and our flights where within 30 minutes of the expected departures which was great.
Once again we ended up with a couple hours of visiting time at Sue’s house and Harper Sue had a BLAST!
